Role in the project

As a large local provider of acute care, the Nuremberg Hospital will essentially be involved in the measurement, analysis and evaluation of the product. Together with the institute of Laboratory Medicine the Department of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine will be involved in the testing of the device and will summarize the usability of the Point-of-Care Testing device. Furthermore, they will test the device in a cohort of patients presenting with chest pain to the Emergency Department. Additionally, they are involved in installation and evaluation of the test system in the Emergency Department.

Head of the Department of Emergency and Intensive Care Medicine, Nuremberg Hospital, Specialty of Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Clinical Pharmacology, Intensive Care Medicine, Emergency Medicine. Author of several manuscripts published in international journals, Reviewer of well-known journals (Circulation, Emergency Medicine, European Journal of Emergency Medicine, Am J Cardiol, etc.). Practical experience in Clinical Research since more than 15 years.

Felicitas is clinically and user orientated, experienced in clinical studies with medical devices and pharmaceutical products. She has a degree in Social Economics (BSc) and Medical Process Management (MSc).
